blog_personal Semester = OVER!
[Personal] Submitted by diplomat on May 05, 2008, 07:41 AM
Well, I have one final I have to take next week, but other than that, classes are over for the summer. I really can use the break, because school has become so bland to me. I've been in school 17 of my 213/4 years on this earth, and im tired now. Its too late to quit now, so I gotta stick it out.

But this summer should be great. First full summer as a legal 21 year old criminal. Can't wait. Cool

blog_personal Full Time Work + Full Time School = One Tired Hombre
[Personal] Submitted by diplomat on April 16, 2008, 07:56 AM
I've been putting in more time at work, trying to get more hours because I'm looking to move out pretty soon and get my own place. This is also the busiet time in a college students semester. With exams and presentations all due soon, and me working 9-10 hour days/nights, I'm running on around 31/2 hours of sleep a day going to class. I had to drop two courses because I wasn't doing so well in them. I have to focus to make sure that I pass my remaining courses. It can be done, and it will, as long as I weather the storm of fatigue. Cool

blog_sports Boston Celtics Complete The Texas Triangle
[Sports] Submitted by diplomat on March 21, 2008, 03:23 AM
The Boston Celtics, with a win last night against the Dallas Mavericks, completed the Texas Triangle wtih a sweep, the first Texas road trip sweep since the Sacramento Kings did it in 2001. People who questioned Boston in the past show no more.

In the process, they come back from 20+ down to defeat the champs The Spurs, they snap the Houston Rockets' 22 game winning streak, and they give the Mavs their 25 lose of the season, and mind you, they beat the Spurs and Rockets WITHOUT Ray Allen.

All of the fuss about the tight rase in the west, but don't forget about the team with the best record in the NBA, the Boston Celtics.

blog_sports 2008 NCAA Basketball Tournament: My Picks
[Sports] Submitted by diplomat on March 20, 2008, 10:40 AM
Well the tournament is upon us, and I've took the time to fill out a bracket. This is the first time I've done a complete bracket. Normally, I will do the first round and then forget about the whole thing.

I feel very confident in all of my picks, so you may want to check out my bracket if you are filling out one for a pool of some sort. I'm psychic. Tongue

blog_wtf How To Cheat On Any Test
[WTF!?!] Submitted by diplomat on March 19, 2008, 11:50 AM
I was browsing one of my favorite sites on the web, Youtube, and found this vid. Its shows you how you can cheat on any test. The WTF!?! Factor for me is that I've never thought of doing this tactic, and its very easy to do. Please note that I do not condone, nor practice, cheating on anything, because cheating is wrong. Cool

blog_personal Microeconomic Principles = Pain In The Ass
[Personal] Submitted by diplomat on March 17, 2008, 12:45 PM
Yeah this is just a rant.

Im taking Microeconomic Principles this semester. Its not going so good so far. For starters, we only have three exams the whole semester, no homework, no classwork, no projects, nothing. If you bomb one test, then its almost impossible to pass the course (with a C or better because its a major requirement).

I bombed the first test...badly. Im not going to drop the class until at least after the second exam, which is this Thursday. I figure if I do well on this, I'd have somewhat of a chance to pass. I gotta do some serious studying tonight, tomorrow, and Wednesday. Pray for me. Cool

blog_sports Nuggets Rout Sonics...168-116!
[Sports] Submitted by diplomat on March 17, 2008, 06:44 AM
WTF?!? No NBA team should be embarrassed like this. Now I know that this is not the first time a team has been spanked by more than 50 points, but to give up 168 points is another thing. In most cases, if you score 116 points, you'd think that you would be on the winning side of things.

I know that the Seattle SuperSonics are the youngest team in the NBA. I know that they have an incompetent head coach in P.J. Carlesimo, but you'd think that a NBA team would have just a little more defensive disipline. I feel for Kevin Durant. Sad

blog_sports Houston Rockets: #1 In The West?
[Sports] Submitted by diplomat on March 16, 2008, 02:21 PM
The Houston Rockets, who have lost Yao Ming for the remainder of the season, have won 10 straight without their Asian bigman, and 22 straight overall, defeating the Los Angeles Lakers today. In the process, the Rockets now have sole possession of first place in the west.

First in the west? Seriously? Houston has gained my respect after watching them this evening against the Lakers. Sure, L.A. didnt have Pau in the middle, but they still have the best player on the planet in Kobe Bryant, and he was kept in check all evening be Mr. Shane Battier. If Houston keeps playing the way they are playing now, they may just win a playoff series this year.

Only time will tell.
